Women’s Auxiliary event will benefit Salvation Army rehabilitation program
SAN DIEGO, CA– This fall, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will host the Artistry of Tables and Fashions, which includes a luncheon and fashion show, and the opportunity to hear stories of new found sobriety from women currently living at The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center.
On Thursday, October 8 at The Ray & Joan Kroc Center, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch, shop gently used, high-end fashions and witness the transformed lives of the women from The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center, as they model fabulous thrift store designs.
“This is such a beautiful event because it gives us a chance to celebrate women who are working towards a brighter future and to help us keep this amazing rehab program going,” says Major Michele Lescano, The Salvation Army Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries.
All proceeds from the luncheon will benefit The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center Wish List, that ensure participants have the basic necessities required to complete the rehabilitation program.
“The women that are part of our Adult Rehabilitation Program have amazing stories, and I love that they will have the opportunity to share them with some of the donors who make it all possible,” says Lescano.
Tickets for the luncheon are still available and can be purchased at www.events.usawest.org. Registration must be completed by October 6, 2015. Tickets are $25 for an individual and $200 for a table of 8.
